DIRECTING

My main interest as a director is in political theatre, taking real life stories and turning them into gripping, thought-provoking theatre. I use theatre as a tool for us all to better understand the world and each other.

Core principals:

• inventive storytelling

• creating collaborative rehearsal spaces

• putting the audience at the heart of the experience.

I mainly work on new writing and devised work, in theatres, drama schools and community settings. Sometimes my work is created with professional performers, sometimes with community members. Whoever I’m working with, my focus is always on creating a rehearsal room culture where a good idea can come from anywhere.
